We’re Katie & Lauren, the brand and marketing specialists behind The Piñata Lab.
Collectively, we have over 30 years of experience in strategic brand and marketing, leading successful teams and departments to achieve big results.
Our expertise spans technology, beauty, wellness, health and fitness, solar energy, construction, life sciences, utilities and not-for-profit. But after years of working for corporate companies, we decided to strike out on our own.

Get to know us
We grew up in the same town (sunny Blackpool) but met years later while working at a global e-commerce company. We were two of the first brand team members of a newly formed ‘House of Brands’ division.
Lauren’s brand and marketing experience (15+ years) is predominantly within the agency world. Her industry experience spans technology, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, construction, energy, beauty, health and wellness.
Katie’s experience (also 15+ years) focuses on large consumer health and beauty brands, along with other FMCG businesses, many of which are household names. Katie also has experience in tech, solar energy and utilities.
For fun, Katie runs marathons fueled almost exclusively by peanut butter. Lauren prefers strength training and is simultaneously trying to build muscled and two businesses. We’re both dedicated to self-improvement and continuously improving in every area of our lives, not just work.
We set up The Piñata Lab to enable us to do what we love (marketing). After many years of working for companies and agencies, we decided we wanted to do things differently, making strategic marketing accessible to businesses of all shapes and sizes.
